The comedy special is an intelligent yet funny introspection on the journey South Africa has travelled for the past 25 years. It features funny stories from a South Africa dreamer born after apartheid. Radebe also comments on and hilariously critiques South Africa post 1994.
Radebe urges people to come see the show that offers a night of laughter, entertainment and pure joy. ‘You will laugh, learn and most importantly unlearn especially if you are also a born free,’ he said.
Radebe has been preparing for this show for the past five years, during which he travelled the country performing at every comedy spot until his material was sufficient for a Comedy Special. ‘A one-person show is the highest level bid achievement for a comedian. I’ve done and won almost everything, so it is time to stand alone and be independent,’ he remarked.
He hopes to one day have his own comedy tour and perform internationally.
Radebe’s advice to other students is, ‘Go get it now, don’t wait for anyone.’
Tickets are priced at R150 and can be purchased from Webtickets and Pick ‘n Pay.
