CEO of the Rural Youth Development Foundation SA, Mr Mthobisi Mkhize said, ‘The KZN Young Achievers Awards ceremony is a powerful platform for acknowledging youth in the province, for networking, relationship building and the development of a healthy minded, educational and economic sense of togetherness, and proudly social cohesive KwaZulu-Natal.’
Ntuli was also a finalist in season 6 of SABC 1’s educational show One Day Leader. Other achievements include heading a delegation to represent South Africa in the Global 20 (G20) Youth engagement group in Argentina; and being among UKZN’s Top 40 Most Inspiring Students.
‘I have always been involved in youth development programmes and gender activism. I want to ensure that every young person, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, gains access to Higher Education,’ said Ntuli.
Her energy, dedication and love for community development are channelled through her outreach programmes that seek to encourage young people from all walks of life to pursue Higher Education, engage in youth entrepreneurship and be agents of progressive change in their socio-political environments.
Ntuli gives of her time as a public speaker at assemblies of high school students and hosts community youth engagements with the aim of rooting out community ills and addressing youth unemployment at local level.
She is the founder of the I SPEAK LIFE SERIES, which aims to motivate learners in township high schools and communities to ‘break the chains of generational poverty and illiteracy.’
Ntuli believes that behind every successful woman is a tribe of strong women who support her. ‘This is pivotal for women in strategic leadership positions to further encourage a spirit of ethical servitude leadership. A strong woman stands up for herself but a stronger woman stands up for everyone else,’ she said.
